Practical guidance, preparation and structured support when legal aid is out of reach.
Practical guidance, preparation and structured support when legal aid is out of reach.

Family First Lawyers was founded to support individuals who would otherwise face the legal system alone. A core pillar of our consultancy is our Access to Justice scheme, focused on assisting litigants in person who may not qualify for legal aid yet cannot afford traditional representation.
We recognise the growing number of people navigating court processes without support and the pressure this creates at an already difficult time. Our role is to provide clear guidance, practical preparation and structured support so individuals can participate in proceedings with greater confidence.
This purpose sits at the heart of why Family First Lawyers exists. No one should feel isolated simply because they fall between funding thresholds, and our work is grounded in helping people feel informed, supported and able to navigate the system with clarity.
Many individuals navigating family proceedings do so without legal representation, often because they fall outside legal aid eligibility yet cannot afford private solicitors. Family First Lawyers provides structured guidance, preparation and practical support so litigants in person can approach proceedings with greater clarity, confidence and stability.

Our approach is collaborative, working alongside charities, support organisations and SRA-regulated practices to ensure continuity of care and coordinated responses.
Alongside client work, we contribute to sector conversations and initiatives focused on improving accessibility, procedural understanding and safer legal processes.
